Welcome to North Texas Youth Orchestra!

North Texas Youth Orchestra (NTYO) was established in 2009 to build on and enhance the successful public and private school programs in Plano, Carrollton, Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson, Garland, Southlake, Lewisville, Denton, and Dallas. We are a community service oriented, non-profit full symphony orchestra serving young musicians between the ages of 13 to 18. Membership in the school music programs is strongly encouraged and only serves to strengthen the musical foundation of NTYO members. Read more about NTYO.

Guest Conductors

Michelle Brians

Michelle Brians serves as orchestra director at Guyer High School in Denton, where she also serves TMEA Region 2 as Orchestra Division Chair. Her orchestras have consistently won Sweepstakes awards at UIL, as well as ranking in the top ten in the Texas Honor Orchestra Competition. Ms. Brians performs with local symphonies and Baroque ensembles, and she sings with The New Collection, an acapella vocal jazz ensemble. She enjoys songwriting, playing the piano, painting, and listening to good music.

Adron Ming has been Music Director of the Lewisville Lake Symphony since 1984. He studied cello with Lev Aronson and conducting with Anshel Brusilow and Daniel Sternberg. He has led the Richardson Symphony, the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Taipei Sunshine Symphony Orchestra in Taiwan, the Plano Symphony, Irving Symphony, and the New Philharmonic of Irving.

Our Venue

North Texas Youth Orchestra (NTYO) would like to give thanks to MCL Grand Theater for being our rehearsal home and concert venue for the 2014-2015 Season! MCL Grand provides the many arts groups in the Greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works and host other regional and national shows and exhibits, events, classes and meetings. The facility features a theatre, art gallery, dance recital hall, black box, and classrooms. An outdoor courtyard is large enough to host small outside performances and dinners, and has sculptures on display.
